Very unusual and rare brutalist table lamp made by Biancardi & Jordan from Verona in Italy. A true piece of art, this table lamp is much more than just a lamp. Made out of verdigris and gold painted wrought iron and hand made pieces of Murano art glass, it truly is a light sculpture. A very distinct and remarkable design, which is not easy to be found. Biancardi & Jordan were a direct opponent of Albano Poli and his company Poliarte, but the pieces made by Biancardi & Jordan were made in much lesser quantities and therefore much rarer. They also have a more brutalist and hand made feel to them, which combined with the use of unusual neo-classical elements makes these pieces are really something of their own.
In great vintage condition with a crack in the glass on the inside of the lamp – which is not to be seen at the outside of the table lamp and certainly does not take anything away of the beauty of this special and very rare Italian brutalist table lamp.
