Verner Panton uplighter for Elteva, Denmark, 1980.
These uplighter models are really rare because they were only made a few years in the beginning of the 1980s. The 'normal' Pantop models are quite common and can still be bought new today, but this uplighter is a really rare beast. Please note this is the even rarer wide version with the 45 cm shade, not the smaller 30 cm model. Often you see these lamps advertised as made by J. Luber from Zwitserland, but in fact these were made by Elteva in Denmark. Due to the wide shade the light really shines very elegant and soft. The shade resembles a delicate flower and makes this lamp very impressive in real life.
The lamp is signed at the bottom and is in great vintage condition.
