Wonderful and very rare candle holder by Gijs Bakker for Keltum. Designed in 1963, this is an early piece by Gijs Bakker, who became one of the best known Dutch furniture and - foremost - jewelry designers later on. He was only 21 years old when he designed this candle holder. A great and thought out design which is interesting and beautiful from every corner. A real piece of jewelry for your interior.
The three arms with their intriguing shape interact in a wonderful way with each other. The conical bases of the three candle holder units are also a very interesting detail. There is a ring made out of blue enamel in every one of the three candle holder elements, a rich and elegant detail. The silver has gained a very beautiful and desirable patination over time and this only makes the candle holder more interesting. In good vintage condition with a desirable patination.
